My connection with Welsh Black Cattle started in 1957 by purchasing two heifers from the Pwlldefaid herd at Aberdaron. In 1964 I became a council member of the Welsh Black Cattle Society. We sold our cattle throughout the UK and abroad to Canada, America and New Zealand.
I Judged the Welsh Black Cattle sections at the RWAS, Royal Highland and Royal England Shows.
I have now started breeding Pure Welsh Black Cattle again and have established the “Rhyd” Herd, with purchases from Graig Goch, Neuadd, Bro Waen, Frongaled and Beuno Herd.
Below is a photo of a party of South African Parliamentarians visiting our farm in 1973.
